Hiatus Update and Portfolio Picks!
Hey there!
It’s been a while, so I wanted to provide everyone with a quick update regarding the state of the website, as well as something somewhat new!
Currently, all website content is still on hold. The “summer slumps,” as I like to call them, are in full swing, but rest assured knowing that there will be new blog posts sooner than later. Whether this means the return of weekly posts or a switch over to a more infrequent publishing schedule… we’ll just have to see.
In the meantime, I wanted to make a little sub-category for first-time readers or anyone else who might be scouting out my work that showcases what both I and my readers consider some of my finest works!
You’ll find links to these particular blog posts below, so please read and enjoy them as you see fit. You can expect more blog posts to be nominated and make their way to this category from time to time as well, so stay tuned! Once you’re finished with these, then I hope you’ll take the time to read some of the rest of the work I’ve posted here as well!
Anyway, here’s your preliminary wave of spreisswriter portfolio picks!
Project Wardens: Introducing the Western Anarchies, a sample of world-building done for one of my longtime passion projects. While the story and its landscape has changed in the year since the blog, the spirit of the world has stayed true to what is depicted in this post.
The Vapor Key: A Project Spellcheck Short Story, the tale of a young priest who learns that there is more to mastery than mere finesse.
Billard and Bubbard’s Damsel Distress, a bout of banter between two buffoons putting the “hopeless” in hopeless romantics.
Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are… Paradoxical, a subjective critique of Pokémon’s fun but faulty open world debut.
