Introducing Project Wardens

Welcome to the Western Anarchies.

Project Wardens is the codename for my upcoming fantasy book series.

The story takes place in a grim, cruel wasteland beyond the comfort of civilization and features a cast of rugged outcasts, scoundrels, and heroes-in-waiting fighting to find and forge their destinies from the rubble of the past.

Project Wardens’ plot will center around the junta of Slayer’s Valley, a paradise of killers and member of a very loose pact alongside other juntas that dominate power in the Western Anarchies. As mysterious adversaries and allies emerge, local Champion Vincent Irefel and his apprentice are called upon to ensure the survival of vital alliances and defend their master’s ambitions from demise by this new, shadowy threat.

This project is one of my longest-lasting story concepts. Since being first put to paper around 2013, it’s gone through several incarnations and reinventions as I learned more and improved as a writer and storyteller. At the same time, it still maintains the soul of what little Sean first set out to create: A grand odyssey of great heroes, dark forces, and epic battles.

Book 1 is planned to be fully written, revised, and published around Spring 2023. Since this is an introduction post, I’ll leave things at that for now, but I promise that you will see plenty of new details in future Writer’s Wall posts, so please look forward to further updates!
